Goss Media 3rd Birthday Party

Last night my sister and I attended the Goss Media 3rd Year Birthday Party.

Within the last three years Goss Media has launched three sites (goss.ie, LAgoss.com and GossGirl.ie).
They currently have a readership of 700,000 a month. To celebrate all this success, Goss Media held a Birthday bash in the gorgeous revamped Krystal nightclub.

The event was sponsored by Platinum Luxury Hair Extensions who also launched their highly anticipated Clip In Collection at the event.
Everyone knows I am a huge hair extension fan, I currently have Elite extensions, pre-bonded. While I love having my long hair, it can be a bit of a pain during the week when you don't need long voluminous locks for the office!
I find it difficult to maintain my extensions, I'm a big fan of back combing so my extensions get caught up and tangled. I'm thinking Clip In's might be a better option for me. These new clip in's look absolutely gorgeous, they feel very soft, and are easily maintained and styled.

How cute are the mini suit bags!

We had a fantastic girly evening out together, it's been a while since I have had a chance to have a night out with my sister. It was also lovely to catch up with some faces I haven't seen in a while since I've been away from the blogging world for almost a year!

Myself & Niamh (Behindthebraids.ie)

I'm off to Limerick for the weekend, so I had to pack and have Tanning Thursday when I got home, but I managed to take a quick peek at the goodie bag from Goss Media. Inside were some fabulous new products, I cannot wait to try them out.

My Elite hair extensions were applied by my beautiful sister, Sarah Ethel, you can find all her details here- Link

Thank you so much to Goss Media and Platinum Luxury Hair Extensions for a fantastic evening.

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend,

Online Shopping, Good or Bad? Or just so so Good!

Is anyone else obsessed with online shopping? I love a good sale, but find it a lot easier and more relaxing to shop online. When there is a sale on in a store, there is clothes all over the place. You can simply visit their online site and choose price options, sizes, styles, it makes it so much easier.

If you are looking for a certain style top or dress you simply type this into the search bar and everything you are looking for appears on the screen. I find I spend less money on clothes online, as I find items in sales or use online discount clothes.

There is also downsides to everything and this includes online shopping. It is such a pain when something arrives and it not at all what you hoped it would be or is slightly too small or too big, sending items back to the website can be hassle and costly.
I also think I have a tendency to buy more than I need while I'm online shopping, the cart just fills up and up and my wishlist is a mile long!

My favourite online stores are Asos, Boohoo & Missguided.

What do you think of online shopping? Pros & cons?

What are your favourite online stores?

Cocoa Brown Goes To Hollywood

Last week the gorgeous Cocoa Brown team set off to LA to tan the beautiful people at the Oscars. The ladies stayed at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. The Penthouse Suite of the hotel was transformed in to a Cocoa Brown Pink Party inviting guests and stars to come and meet the team and introduce them to the Cocoa Brown Products.

Marissa, speaking about the Pre-Oscars event-
“It’s amazing that I launched Cocoa Brown just over 1 year ago and here I am in The Beverly Hilton Hotel tanning all these celebrity clients. Not only is it great for an Irish brand but for a brand like us that is still so young. I just know the celebrities will all love their Cocoa Brown glow!”

Cocoa Brown is one of the most popluar tanning and skin care companies in UK & Ireland. It is sold in several retailers across UK & Ireland including Penneys, Boots, Tesco and Superdrug. Cocoa Brown is my absolute favourite tan. The 1 hour tan is an amazing product. It develops within one hour and gives a perfect natural bronzed glow to your skin.
Cocoa Brown will soon release new products, see picture below. I cannot wait to get my hands on The Lovely Legs Spray, its looks amazing... who doesn't want flawless pins!

I have followed Cocoa Brown from the beginning and I am thrilled to hear of their continued success. It is fantastic to see an Irish Company doing so well, especially in such a short space of time since the first Cocoa Brown One Hour (holy grail) tan was launched. Congratulations to Marissa Carter and The Cocoa Brown Team!

A Well Dressed Bed

I know this post is a little off topic but I just had to share my new bed linen with you all. I decided last week my bedroom needed a little makeover. I went to Penneys not expecting too much and I found this gorgeous Duvet set, and for the bargain price of €17!

The Duvet is reversible, it has a slightly different floral print on the other side, sorry I don't have a photo of the print. I also picked up an adorable cream fluffy heart shaped pillow, priced at €4, bargain!

Bed is from Ikea

Has anyone else picked up this Duvet set?

My Oasis Personal Stylist Experience

On Saturday I made an appointment to go visit the lovely Claire Lane.  Claire is employed by Oasis to provide a Personal Stylist Service at their Oasis Store in the Dundrum Shopping Centre.

Like most people I know what clothes I like to wear.  However, putting a whole outfit together is another story entirely! The Personal Stylist Service at Oasis helps to complete a look without the stress.  Whether you are looking for an outfit for a special occasion, or simply looking for some fresh work wear ideas, this service is there to help.
As I am in the office five days a week, I get sick of wearing the same clothes day in day out.  So, on Saturday I decided to make an appointment with Claire to see what outfits she would suggest for me.  I was delighted with the service she provided.

First off, the appointment started with a complimentary trip to Starbucks. While in Starbucks Claire and I had a lovely chat, about the type of clothes, styles and colours I would usually wear, and what exactly I was hoping to get from the Personal Stylist Service.  We then headed back to the store to try on some clothes.  Claire was very helpful, rather than picking up several different miscellaneous items, Claire choose a few key pieces for me- A high waisted skirt, slim leg trousers and simple  blouses.  She demonstrated how picking a few key pieces could transform my work wardrobe.  By using these key pieces I could easily come up with several different outfits for the week.
I was very impressed with the service. I think this service would be perfect for anyone who has a wedding, or a special event coming up.  For those of you who are perhaps heading back into the working world, and need some advice/tips on work wear that suits you, I would really recommend making an appointment with Claire in Oasis in the Dundrum Shopping Centre.

Has anyone tried the Personal Stylist Service at Oasis, Dundrum?
Thank you to Claire for a fabulous experience!

To avail of this service simply contact Oasis Dundrum, or Claire directly on 086-0280476 or email clairelan@oasis-stores.co.uk.

The Oasis Personal Stylist Service is also available at Oasis Stephens Green, and Oasis in Cork.

What's In My Bag?

I absolutely love reading this type of post. I don't know why but I think everyone loves to be a little noisy and see what other people carry around with them! I could waste several hours watching this tag on youtube. So I thought Id give it a try.....

I purchased my bag from Penneys. It was 13euro. I love it, it reminds me of a Givenchy Antigona duffle bag. Its has two carry straps and one large strap which comes in handy on shopping trips!

Keys- House keys & car keys.

iPhone- My iphone 4s, couldn't live without it! My cover is from ebay.

Perfume- Essence- 'like a new love'.

USB Cable- Always handy if my iphone or ipod runs out of battery.

Hand cream- I got this gorgeous Giorgio Armani lotion from my friend, she was clearing out her cosmetics and was kind enough to send a few items my way.

Hair clips- You can never have enough hair clips! They are like socks in the wash, they just mysteriously disappear and you never see them again!

Mumford & Sons Album- SIGH NO MORE-  I borrowed this from my super amazing Dad! Going to See Mumford & Sons at The Pheonix park in July! Can't wait!

Lipstick- Mac- Ruby Woo.

Cnd Solar Oil-  I like to try and keep my cuticles hydrated. I layer this on when I have a spare few minutes.

Boots Shapers Peanut Nougat Bar- for snacking on the go.

DKNY Wallet- My favourite wallet, I got this as a present from my lovely sister.

Max Factor Creme Puff Powder- Translucent- I adore this powder, definitely my number 1 favourite, it goes everywhere with me.

Vaseline- Cocoa Butter- I think most girls carry some form of lip balm with them everywhere they go.
Hairbrush- Another item that goes everywhere with me, gym, nights out, work, everywhere!

I actually carry around a lot more than I thought I did! Maybe I should try and downsize a bit!

Has anyone else written a 'What's In My Bag' post?

Great Lengths Hair Extensions

I have gone through so many hair extensions in the last few years. I'm picturing a giant pile of hair sky high right now! I've tried glue ins, clip ins, bonded hair, everything.

Last year my friend got new extensions called Great Length extensions. I hadn't heard much about them. They looked fabulous in her hair. They lasted her 8 months before she decided to take them out and have a break from extensions.

After her success, I decided to get them done. I decided to try the shorter length, 30cm, as I work in an office Mon-Fri I wanted hair I could manage during the week.

Information about Great Lengths- Great Lengths hair extensions can be used for volumising, lengthening, colouring or simply adding texture. Great Lengths hair extensions have over 55 colours to choose from and blend with your own hair for perfect colour matches. So realistic and natural, our bonding system is kind to your hair and scalp, Great Lengths hair extensions will transform your hair with stunning results.

I was thrilled with the results. The whole process took 2hours. They looked fabulous. I got two shades through my hair, a light brown and a darker brown to match my own hair colour. After two months I decided to Ombre my hair, which meant applying dye to the extensions. They lightened up with no problems.

Pictures of my extensions- Brunette Hair & Ombre Hair

I got my Hair extensions done by a qualified Great lengths Stylist, link for information here

Tattoo the fashion must?

Lately everywhere I go I see new tattoo's on people. I myself have none but will be getting one on jan 11th, this day marks a huge personal turn in my life and the tattoo I chose is the lyric line in a Ben Howard song ' And ill be yours to keep' it means so many great things to me.

So as I continue in college I see more and more tattoo's gracing the catwalks of NY,Milan and Paris... What are people's opinions on them? Chanel last year and this year launched a whole line of fake tattoo chains, necklaces etc. MAC make up also did a product line for fake tattoo's? So I ask you all this, do our outfits of dresses, coats, heels, bags, jewellery and false lashes now need tattoo's??

Rachel Zoe stylist

I love superstar stylist Rachel Zoe from finding out about her through my friend Roisin, we watch her in her oh-so-chic reality show. She does Styling for major magazine shoots, picking outfits for A-listers to wear on the red carpet.im addicted to her Bravo reality show, The Rachel Zoe Project—it’s all in a day’s work for one of Hollywood’s most famous fashionistas.

She regularly appears in vogue(one my fave's)and is also like myself as she is addicted to drinking one or two cups of very strong tea.Since attending college ive learned alot from her on fittings, and editorial shoots.

Her product line Was launched in the fall. consisting of bags, jewelry, scarves, faux-fur outerwear, sunglasses and a fragrance. I’m very into her style on faux-fur! I got two for my birthday.
My Own goal of late is ’70s, early- ’80s high fashion, incorporating the fall runway looks, so right now I'm rocking the 'Rachel Zoe black meets 70's festivals'.
Think jean shorts, a T-shirt or a tank (usually TOPSHOP)paired with a cropped, fitted, vintage faux- fur jacket. I pretty much have a few of her own outfits down to a T.
Although she works doing press appearances and premieres she always has time for family and friends.

Im hoping to leave college to work on ad campaigns, press tours, editorial shoots and events... id love to be a PA to someone like her though.
Rachel Zoe is a woman like myself I think. Career driven and rapidly expanding as a person. She is one of my inspirations and fuels my infinite love of fashion.
You either love or hate her?

The little black dress LBD

A little black dress is an evening or cocktail dress, cut simply and often quite short, for some maybe alittle longer then my 'short'.Its long-lasting, versatile, affordable, accessible to every body shape and woman.

The "little black dress" is considered essential to a complete wardrobe by many women and fashion observers, 'for me and the girls it's the dress we always feel great in,reliable!'.Any black dress that can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion: for example, worn with a jacket and pumps for daytime business wear or with a leather coat and accessories for evening. It is to be a staple of the wardrobe for a number of years, your bestfriend. For me I have two LBD's... One is my profile picture that I wore to my little sisters birthday and one I call my 'LBD for dates'. It's the dress that have always got me a second date.... What's your guys LBD like? And why do we love them so??
