Happy Friday

Hello fellow bloggers!

I haven't managed to do any posts this week, I've been so busy! I turned 27 this week so I've been busy celebrating with friends and family. I had a fabulous night out with all my friends on Saturday, unfortunately my camera is broken so i've no nice photo memories!

I got plenty of beauty products & nail polish pressies throughout the week so many reviews to follow!

I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend! First weekend of December! Christmas is so close now!

Happy Friday!

Sleep In Rollers

I heard about these a few months ago. My sister noticed them on special and picked them up for me! I had heard so much about them, I was dying to give them a try! Imagine how much time you would save prepping your hair while you sleep!

You get two packs of ten rollers; unfortunately my set didn’t come in the nice handy bag they usually come in! I love the colour and look of them, so fun and girly!

They have a large piece of foam in each roller which makes them more comfortable when sleeping!.. But do they work?

Good News-

Retailing at  €20.50, they are a decent price

They are easy enough to get into your hair, Althought after looking at a few pictures online, I think if i had i put them in differently i would have gotten a better result.

I loved the packaging and the colour

They gave my hair lots of volume!

Bad News-

I found it was more volume then curls

Some of them fell out of my hair throughout the night, I do have quite short hair so this could have been the reason, perhaps I might try using some pins to keep them in place next time!

All in all I was happy with the results, They definitely give you great volume at the root of the hair, which I love, usually I can only get that look from a Salon or when my lovely sister is so kind and blow dries my hair for me!

Check out Velcro Sleep Rollers Facebook Page, also their official website.

My Favourite Foundation- Estee Lauder Double Wear

I remember reading an article somewhere once which said that most girls own at least four or five different foundations at any one time, I wonder is this true? I certainly have at least five at home at present! I like to try out different brands but always end up with my old favourite- Estee Lauder Double wear.

Good News-

I’m not a huge fan of dewy foundation so I love the matt finish this foundation gives you.

It gives amazing coverage

It lasts for hours. I usually apply my foundations early in the morning around 7.30am and it’s still perfect when I arrive home in the evenings- 6pm.

Bad News-

It is expensive- at 35euro it is a bit pricey but I do think it’s worth the price, it has amazing staying power and the bottle usually lasts me 4-6weeks.

It is pretty heavy foundation, so if you prefer a lighter coverage this may not be the foundation for you.

Dupe- I have read that Revlon Colorstay is a similar foundation to Estee Lauder Double wear, has anyone ever tried it out? I tried it before but I picked up the wrong colour, With 20 different shades it was difficult to find a match. I didnt think it gave as much coverage & did not stay on my face as long as Double wear.

French Tip Tutorial

Last week I decided to do a normal boring French Manicure. Seen as I generally have unusual colours and designs on my nails it was nice to do something simple for a change.

I've looked at several tutorials on how to get the perfect neat french tips and found this method works best for me.

Step 1- Apply a layer of white polish to the top of your nails, this does not have to be perfect (I used OPI- Alpine Snow)

Step 2- Dip a small brush into some nail polish remover or acetone and begin to remove excess white polish from nail, creating a neat line.

Step 3- Once nail polish is dry, Apply two layers of top coat (I used Essence Gel Look Top Coat)

Optionally you can apply a light pink colour over the white before layering on your Top Coat, in order to tone down the bright White and make it a more natural colour.

Here's the results!

Tattoo the fashion must?

Lately everywhere I go I see new tattoo's on people. I myself have none but will be getting one on jan 11th, this day marks a huge personal turn in my life and the tattoo I chose is the lyric line in a Ben Howard song ' And ill be yours to keep' it means so many great things to me.

So as I continue in college I see more and more tattoo's gracing the catwalks of NY,Milan and Paris... What are people's opinions on them? Chanel last year and this year launched a whole line of fake tattoo chains, necklaces etc. MAC make up also did a product line for fake tattoo's? So I ask you all this, do our outfits of dresses, coats, heels, bags, jewellery and false lashes now need tattoo's??
