The Autumn Tag

I was tagged by the lovely Tanyia Talks to do this post. I think this is the first time I have been tagged to do a post, exciting stuff! So here we go...

For Autumn, what is your...

Favourite thing about it? Autumn is my favourite time of year, I love to see the leaves blowing off the trees and the change in the weather and finally getting back into wearing winter woolies, boots and coats.

Favourite Drink? My favourite drink over the autumn months would have to be tea, I love having tea and biscuits in front of me on cold evenings when I'm sitting in to watch a movie.

Favourite scent/candle? Hmm this is a tough one, I don't really have a favourite Autumn candle, I would probably say I love the scent of the cold crisp air during the Autumn months, that's a scent right?

Best lipsticks? I have been wearing a lot of coral, light shades over the summer months so I will probably switch to deep red, berry shades in the Autumn months, I bought a mac lipstick last year called Endless Drama which I absolutely love.

Go to moisturiser? At the moment my go to moisturiser is L’Oreal Skin Perfection: Correcting Day Moisturiser. I bought it a few weeks ago and I have absolutely fallen in love with it. I did a review last week- Link

Go to colour for the eye? I love deep brown shades for autumn, but also love a nice gold, bronzed look. I really want to invest in some berry, maroon shades this Autumn.

Favourite Band/singer  or music to listen to? At the moment I love Ben Howard, Gabrielle Aplin, Kodaline. Snow Patrol is probably my favourite Band, I love listening to all their music over the A/W months.

Favourite outfit to wear? Anyone who knows me will tell you I'm a wooly jumper fanatic, if I could get away with wearing them over the summer I would and on some days I did! Also love new winter coats & boots.

Autumn Treat? I will probably invest in a new coat, I'm still deciding on what kind of style I would like.

Favourite place to be? Over the Autumn months I love taking a walk in the park near where I live. There's something lovely about getting dressed up in bundles of warm clothes and going for a stroll. I also love to go on shopping sprees in town and enjoying a nice warm cup of tea after a successful shopping trip.

Thanks again to Tanyia Talks for tagging me in this post. Writing this post has gotten me very excited for the Autumn season.

Has anyone else done the Autumn tag, I would love to read them.

Expose Summer Bronze

I picked up this Mousse for €1.49 in the Dealz Store last week, yes €1.49! I could already hear my friend in my head saying 'don't buy this you will end up looking like an Oompa Loompa!' but I decided for €1.49 I'd be willing to take the risk!

I applied one layer of the tan on my upper half- arms, chest, stomach & back that way if I went orange I would only be half orange... I'm not sure how I thought that would be better! Anyway... I was pleasantly surprised with the results!

This tan gives a very subtle colour to your skin. I did not have streaks or marks and the colour is a gold brown shade. The mousse was very easy to apply. It comes out like a hair mousse, It is white in colour and once you begin to apply it it becomes a clear shade. The scent of the tan is unusual, it has a subtle scent but it is not the usual burnt biscuit type of smell you get with other false tans.

The only downside I can see with this tan is that the mousse is clear. So you have to be careful when applying it to make sure you don't miss areas.

I think this tan would be perfect for during the week when you just want a light glow to your skin. I will probably stick to my old faithful Cocoa Brown for the weekend/nights out as it quite a few shades darker.

Has anyone else tried or heard of this tan?

L’Oreal Skin Perfection: Correcting Day Moisturiser

I have been promising myself a new moisturiser for a long time now, so while I was away over the weekend I decided to pick one up. I decided on the L’Oreal Skin Perfection: Correcting Day Moisturiser. I thought this foundation would be perfect for me as it sounded like exactly what I was looking for and I am right in the target market for this product (Late 20s/early 30s).

I am absolutely thrilled with this moisturiser. The product comes in a gorgeous light pink glass tub. The liquid is a pink shade and smells amazing. The cream is a thick formula and absorbs quickly into the skin.

I have only been using it for one week but it has made such a difference to my skin. After just one day of use, my skin feels softer and I have a more even complexion. After a weeks use, the pores on my skin seem to be smaller and are less visible. I have read that it is impossible to reduce the size of pores, but they do appear less noticeable and less prominent on my skin. I have been using this moisteriser twice daily, Once in the morning (apply 5-10mins before applying your primer/foundation) and once in the evening after I remove my makeup.

L’Oreal Skin Perfection: Correcting Day retails for approx. €22.99. Boots currently have a promotion on  L’Oreal Skin products at the moment so I got it for the bargain price of €12!

Revlon Colorstay Foundation

Sorry for the lack of blogging, I spent a few days in Leitrim  with some friends. We decided to take a few days away, Leitrim was a great escape very tranquil and quiet. We obviously had to do a bit of shopping while we were there! On Saturday we drove to Carrick-on-Shannon and found a few shops and a Boots store!

One of my purchases was the Revlon Colorstay Foundation. I have heard great things about this foundation but for some reason I have never tried it. I have read that it is similar to the Estee Lauder Double wear which is my holy grail foundation.

I bought the shade- 180 Sand Beige in Normal/Dry Skin. So far I am thrilled with this foundation. The foundation comes in a lovely glass bottle, although I do wish it had a pump. The liquid glides onto the skin and blends easily. This foundation has medium to full coverage, similar to the Estee Lauder Double wear. I felt this foundation actually gave the same amount of coverage but does not feel as cakey on your skin. It is long wearing, I have worn it for 12plus hours and it has stayed intact, no patching.

I cant find many negatives for this product. The only negative I can think of is the problem of finding a shade to suit you. As there is quite a few different shades there is plenty to choose from, my arm was several different colours leaving the shop! but I am happy with the colour I finally decided on. I would simply say take your time when choosing, and check swatches of each colour.

I think this foundation would be a perfect choice for someone who likes a matte finish with medium to full coverage.

A Well Dressed Bed

I know this post is a little off topic but I just had to share my new bed linen with you all. I decided last week my bedroom needed a little makeover. I went to Penneys not expecting too much and I found this gorgeous Duvet set, and for the bargain price of €17!

The Duvet is reversible, it has a slightly different floral print on the other side, sorry I don't have a photo of the print. I also picked up an adorable cream fluffy heart shaped pillow, priced at €4, bargain!

Bed is from Ikea

Has anyone else picked up this Duvet set?
