Nail Polish Remover Tutorial

This is how I remove my nail polish. I read about it on a blog last year and it really is a great way of removing nail polish, especially stubborn dark polish which can leave stains on your finger nails and skin around the nail.

Step 1-
Cut cotton pads into pieces

Step 2-
Soak each piece in nail polish remover and place on the nail

Step 3-
Wait 5mins to allow the nail polish remover to soak into the polish, then remove pieces of cotton from the nail

Step 4-
Remove any polish left on nail with a cotton pad

I found this process very helpful, less fuss and mess to clean up!
Hope you guys find it helpful too,

Amy

Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat Review

I’ve heard so much positive feedback in the blogging world about this top coat so I finally decided to buy it this weekend and see does it really live up to the hype.

What Seche say about the product- 'Seche Vite™ dry fast top coat is widely acknowledged as the world's finest top coat. Specially formulated to penetrate through nail lacquer to the base coat forming a single solid coating over the nail plate for a much more durable finish. Guaranteed not to yellow while leaving nails silky, stronger and resistant to chipping and peeling'.

Good News-
Dry’s so fast, I was amazed, under one minute
Has a lovely shine finish
Nice and thick to prevent chipping

Bad News-
Quiet expensive approx. 10-15euro a bottle
I have read it can get gloopy quick quickly, only time will tell!

All in all I think this product is worth the money spent, it leaves a gorgeous glossy finish, very happy with the results!

Essence Maximum Definition Mascara Review

I decided I needed a new mascara last week as most of mine have dried up. I checked out the Essence range, cheap and cheerful! They have 15 mascaras in their range! I didn’t know which to go for, so I checked out some reviews and found loads of positive feedback about the Essence Maximum Definition Mascara, so I decided to give it a go...

Good News-
Separates your lashes, no clumps
Bargain price, €3.49
Small brush for easy application
It stays on all day

Bad News-
Packaging isint great
Doesn’t create Volume
I hear Essence mascara dry up quick quickly

All in all, I was happy with this product, great for during the week, when you just need more defined, longer lashes! It might be a good idea to get a volumising mascara & layer up the two for more thickness & volume!

Catrice Photo Finish Liquid Foundation 18h Review

My Holy Grail foundation is Estee Lauder Double wear. As it is quite expensive, I decided to try find an alternative drugstore foundation for during the week, and keep my Double wear for weekend/special occasions.

After checking a few reviews, I decided to try out Catrice Photo Finish Liquid Foundation 18h, in colour 050 Deep Bronze. (I would have prefered go with the lighty lighter shade- 040 Sun Beige but it was out of stock)

Here’s what I thought!

Good News-
At €6.99 a bottle, it’s a bargain!
Nice packaging- comes in a gorgeous frosted glass bottle.
It has a pump, which Estee Lauder still haven’t managed to figure out!
Lasts about 8-10 hours, not 18h as promised, but still good going.
It creates medium coverage while still managing to feel light on the face.

Bad News-
I found the smell of the foundation a little over powering at first, but I’m getting used to it.
There is only 5 shades in the range so it can be difficult to get an exact colour match for your skin.

Essence Pastel Pink Nails

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this colour from Essence! It is called Sweet as Candy. It is a very light pink shade. I was planning to do Ombre pink nails over the weekend but once I put this on one nail I decided I needed it on them all!

I painted 3 x layers of Sweet as Candy to make the colour a solid shade of Pink.

I then added some sparkle to my accent nail. I got this Glitter polish in a 4 pack from Penneys/Primark! I purchased the set of 4 on sale for €1, €1 for the 4 polishes, Bargain! I think it’s gorgeous, it has a gel type finish.

I finished the manicure with 2x layers of Essence Better then gel topcoat.

Product I've used up: Soap & Glory- FACE SOAP and CLARITY

I heard great things about the Soap & Glory range, so I decided to try out some of the Body/Skincare products. I absolutely loved the Face Soap & Clarity 3-In-1 daily detox vitamin C facial wash. I used it up so fast!

Good News-
Gorgeous packaging- I’m a sucker for pretty looking products.
The product contains tiny micro beads which exfoliate the skin which leave the skin feeling soft and smooth.
The product smells amazing.
It leaves the face feeling fresh & bright.

Bad News-
Moisturiser is a must after using this product as it can leave the skin feeling a little tight, especially if you have dry/combination skin like me.

I really was thrilled with this product, sometimes it’s a good idea to change up your facial products, you might be surprised to find a different product works better for you.

Well done to Soap & Glory, another amazing product!
