TRESemme Heat Defence Styling Spray Review

My hair is constantly in terrible condition, I always seem to be colouring it or styling it, Im a little obsessed! So I thought it would be a good idea to finally invest in a good Heat Protectant Spray. I had heard some great things about TRESemme Heat Defence Styling Sprayand decided to give it a try.

About the product- This product guards your hair against heat of up to 230 degrees celcius. It claims to keep your hair feeling soft and shiny without feeling weighed down. The product also smooths frizz and seals in a high finish shine.

I found this spray worked very well. I applied a few sprays to my damp hair for blow drying and again on my dry hair before using my ghd or wand.  My hair feels softer after including this product in my hair care routine, I have only been using it for a few weeks but I can already feel my hair is softer and perhaps a little thicker!
I really like the packing of this product, the nozzle sprays a wide even spray of product. I usually spray 5/6 sprites around my hair, then work the product through with my fingers.
The product has a lovely scent, but is not overpowering, which can be an issue with other hair products.

The only downside I could find with this product is- It takes a bit longer for my hair to dry. I guess when you weigh the pros and cons, having to take an few extra minutes to dry your hair so that it stays healthy is worth it I think!

Has anyone else tried the TRESemme Heat Defence Styling Spray?

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Polish

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Polish are a new range of polish's by Barry M. I picked up my first one last month and have absolutely fallen in love with them.

They give a jelly type shiny finish, almost like the finish you would get from a soak off or gel polish. They also stay on nails for days without chips. I think I usually get about 5/6 days wear before chipping appears.

Last month I picked up a blue shade called Blueberry, I featured it in my June favourites. Blueberry is a gorgeous light blue shade, perfect for the summer months.

While I was shopping in River Island two weeks ago I noticed they sell the Barry M polishes and decided I had to buy Gelly Hi Shine Lychee. Lychee is a gorgeous cool neutral shade. I think it looks perfect with my skin tone, now that I have a little bit of colour after the sunny weather.

I definitely want to get my hands on a few more of these! Has anyone else tired Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Polish?

MUA Palette- Undress Me Too

I finally got my hands on two MUA palettes! I have been trying to get my hands on these palettes for ages. My friend noticed them in Superdrug a few weeks ago and very kindly picked them up for me, (Undress Me Too, Heaven & Earth).

The Undress Me Too Palette is an exact dupe for the Naked 2 Palette. The palette consists of 12 shades, from cool neutrals to bronzed gold's and deep matte shades. The pigmentation is not as good as the Naked palettes but they are still quite nice for the price!
They retail for approx. €5. I have tried out a few looks with the palette. I love the all gold shades, perfect for the summer months.

The only downside I can find is the packing, I am not made about white packaging, I find it gets filthy if I throw it into my makeup bag. Also the plastic is quite flimsy but I guess you cant expect anything too lavish with this price!

All in all I am thrilled with the palette, I have tried out a few YouTube Naked 2 tutorials with this palette, photo below

Has anyone else tried these?

MUA is available from Superdrug and MUA Online.

Mumford & Sons at The Phoenix Park

On Sunday I attended Mumford and Sons at the Phoenix Park with my friend Fiona and my sister, Sarah. We had an amazing day. The sunny weather has stuck around in Dublin and it really changed the atmosphere of the day. I was at the Phoenix Park concerts last year and it was a completely different atmosphere. The weather was rainy and dark. This year the sun was splitting the trees, everyone was in high spirits walking around in shorts, shades and summer dresses. The hot weather made the very long walk down the park feel a little longer, I actually had to take my sandals off for a while.

Once we got there we had an amazing time. Ben Howard was amazing! I absolutely love his music. My sister bought her ticket solely to see Mr Howard. He sang all our favourites- 'Keep your head up', 'Only love' & 'The wolves' and kept my favourite song for last- 'The Fear'. Mumford and Sons arrived on stage half an hour later and they were also amazing! I don't know their whole album but they played plenty of crowd pleasers- 'I will wait', 'Lover of the light'. All in all, we had an incredible day. Here's a few snaps of our day-

Was anyone else at the Phoenix Park concerts?

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend,

Another Superdrug Haul

Yes I did it, I went back again. I just love Superdrug, there is always great offers on which also has a downside... I end up buying much more than needed!

Here is what I picked up...

Solait Dry Mist Bronzing- I am a bit a of fake tan junkie, I love trying out new tanning products. I use the Solait Instant tan and I love it, the colour is so dark which I love. I have never tried any of their developing tans before. As anyone tried out this tan? Review to follow!

Superdrug Deep Action Daily Exfoliating Wash- This is also a new product for me, I normally use the Boots Cucumber Facial Exfoliator but decided to give this a try. I have been using it this week and so far I am happy with it. It  lathers up easily and gently exfoliates the skin leaving my skin feeling soft and smooth. It has a creamy formula, which removes oils without leaving your skin feeling dry or tight. The product also smells amazing.

Superdrug Dry Shampoo in Breeze- I had heard such great things about the Superdrug Dry Shampoo so I was dying to try it out, but I have to say I was very disappointed with this product, I have tried it a few times this week and I didn't really feel it did anything for my hair. Has anyone else used this product? I think ill be going back to old faithful Batiste!

Tresemmé Heat Defence Styling Spray-My hair is not in the best condition at the moment. As you probably know I recently had my hair coloured and I am now Blonde! So I decided it was finally time to pick up a Heat protectant spray before all my hair falls out! I haven't actually given this a try yet. Review will follow! Has anyone used this product?

MUA Palettes- Heaven & Earth/ Undress me too- I didn't actually pick these up during my visit to Superdrug as they were not in stock. My friend noticed them while she was shopping and kindly picked them up for me. I had been searching for them for a long long time! I have only tried out a few looks but I am absolutely loving both of them! The Undress to me too Palette is an exact dupe for the Naked 2 Palette. Has anyone else used these Palettes?

Sure Women Compressed Bright Deodorant- I have to say I am loving these new compressed deodorants, they are so handy for in your handbag. I will never go back to big canisters again!

I hope everyone has an lovely weekend! There are rumours of some sunny weather heading our way in Ireland, fingers crossed!

June Favourites

Some products I loved throughout June...

Collection Face Powder- Review
Collection Concealer- I took this product on holiday with me, I had forgotten how much I adore it.  I think every blogger has heard about it. It gives amazing coverage without causing creasing on the skin. It is also great value for money, price approx. €5.50.
Real Techniques Expert Face Brush- I bought a bulk of Real Techniques brushes from iherd a few weeks ago. I bought- The Expert Face Brush, The Blusher Brush, The Powder Brush and The Eye Starter Set. My absolute favourite has to be The Expert Face brush- Review
Mac Brow Duo- I picked up this baby at the airport on my way to sunny Portugal, I recently became a blonde and needed a new lighter shade brow shadow. This brow combo is a perfect for me. Shade- Blonde (Omega, Soba).
Barry M Polish- Bluebell- I think this colour is perfect for the summer months. I love the Barry M Hi Shine gel Nail range.

Has anyone else tried out these products? Or written a June Favourites this month?

Collection Pressed Powder

While I was in boots picking up my Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, I spotted this little gem. I normally use Max Factor Creme Puff Powder but I thought if I love the Collection Concealer so much perhaps I would like this product too.

I was absolutely delighted with it. The product comes in nine shades, I purchased o1 Candelight. I found the colour perfect for my complexion. The powder tones down all shine on the face to leave a subtle matte finish. It has great lasting power, I usually reapply my powder twice daily. I apply this powder using my new Real Techniques Powder Brush.

The only downside I could find with this product was the scent, it smells like baby powder, personally I love this scent, but I know it is not everyone's preference.

Have anyone else tried this Face Powder?
