Garnier Summer Body

I am a huge fan of tanning products, I especially love a good moisturiser with a hint of colour. I'm a bit lazy when its comes to daily moisturising so moisturiser with a hint of tan is a great option. I love the Dove Summer Glow but as the Garnier one was on special this week at Super Value I decided to give it a try.

First off, the product is in lovely packaging, the bottle is a lovely bright yellow/orange colour. The price was also nice, €3 for ml bottle, usual price is about €6 I think. The cream smells absolutely gorgeous and doesn't have even a hint of the usual self tan scent. But I think this is where the good points ended...

I found the product to be very sticky, after 8 hours, it was still moist on my skin and had not dried in. Therefor my bed sheets were a lovely shade of orange by morning. The colour  developed quite a bit after one application which was good but I didn't think the colour of this tan suited my skintone, it was a bit orange/tango for my liking.

So all in all I wasn't over the moon about this moisturiser. Yes it moisturises and gives a glow to your skin but I have found other products such as Dove Summer Glow and Coco Brown Gentle Bronzer which do a much better job and leave a much more realistic bronzed glow. I don't think I will be repurchasing this product.

Ziaja Sensitive Skin Products

I was thrilled to receive these three little beauties in the post. Ziaja Sensitive Skin* is a new range of facial products aimed at people with sensitive skin. The products can be used daily to treat and soothe sensitive skin. There are 5 products in the range The Skin Soothing Day Cream, The Firming Night Cream, The Enzyme Peel, The Micellar Water and The Wash Gel for face and body. I received 3 of these lovely products to review.

Ziaja Sesitive Skin Enzyme Peeling- This peel gently removes dead skin cells to leave the skin feeling smoother, softer and brighter. The product includes ingrediants papain, antileukine 6 - biological protection factor (BPF) from algae Laminaria ochroleuca and provitamin B5. Retail price €4.99

Ziaja Sensitive Skin Firming Night Cream- This firming night cream is specially designed for sensitive skin. With ingredients such as ceramides, phytosphingosine, EFAs of macadamia and cotton oil, the product moisturises the skin while also regenerating, firming and smoothing. Retail price €6.99

Ziaja Sensitive Skin Micellar Water- This is a super soft cleanser which contains microscopic oil spheres which cleanse the skin without stripping making it perfect for people who suffer with sensitive skin. It gently removes makeup while also softening the skin. Retail price €4.49

I asked my mam to give these products a try as she has very sensitive skin I knew she would be the perfect candidate.  She was absolutely thrilled with these products. She found the Micellar Water is very gentle on the skin but still removes all residues and makeup. The Enzyme Peel also did amazing things for her skin. It gently exfoliates the skin, removing dead cells which left her skin feeling soft and smooth. Her favourite product of the three was the Firming Night Cream. This is a super luxuries cream, its it super soft and feels amazing on the skin. She has some redness on her skin and felt this cream really helped to tone down the discoloration and soothe the skin. Her skin was left feeling firm, refreshed and bright.

Introducing New Garnier Ultimate Blends

I was thrilled to see this range finally hit the shelves this month.. and too see them half price at Dunnes Stores was an extra treat!
Ultimate Blends is the latest Shampoo and Conditioner range from Garnier. The products are blended with an assortment of naturally sourced ingredients. Ultimate Blends is available in six varieties, one to suit each individual type of hair. The products are said to leave you hair feeling squeaky clean and soft to the touch for up to 72hours!

I decided to pick up a bottle of The Marvellous Transformer Shampoo. This shampoo is best suited to dull, dry hair. As I alternate between shampoos so often I decided to go for the smaller 250ml bottle. This Shampoo includes ingredients such as Moroccan Argan Oil and time-honoured Japanese indulgence Camellia Oil.

Well I can happily say I was not disappointed, this new shampoo has definitely lived up to its promise. The product has a gorgeous silky consistency and lathers up very well with a small amount of product. As Garnier products always do.. the shampoo smells absolutely divine, its smells of rich moroccan oil and fruit. The products left my hair feeling light and super shiny. I tried this shampoo before I went away last week and 3 days after the first wash my hair was still shiny and clean, which is great for me! My hair would usually last me about 2 days before it begins to feel sticky and greasy.

I'm excited to try out another one of these, maybe the The Nourishing Repairer for dry, damaged hair. There is also a dry shampoo in this range, I cannot wait to give that a try.

Sherbet Lemon Nails

Last weekend I rooted out my favourite pastel colours for spring, and decided to paint my nails a bright pastel yellow colour. This colour is from the 17 range at Boots. The shade is called Sherbet Lemon.

I used Essence basecoat, 2 layers of Sherbet Lemon (needed two coats to get it opaque) and finished it off with two layers of Seche Vitae Topcoat. I think it is a gorgeous colour for the spring months, and looks fabulous with a tan. What do you guys think?

Has anyone else picked up this colour, or recommend any nice pastel polishes for spring time?

I have tried my very best not to buy too much beauty products over the last week or so as I am off to London tomorrow to do some shopping!! Hopefully I will get my hands on some gorgeous new beauty products to review!! Eeeks!

Bloom me up!

I was so thrilled to finally see this range in stores. There wasn't a lot of stock left when I reached the stand but there was still a few nice bits. I decided to purchase a duo eyeliner and a nail polish!

The dual eyeliner has a gorgeous pastel pink shade and a light cream shade. I have been meaning to pick up a cream coloured liner for ages now. I have a white one I use to try brighten up tired eyes, but I heard a flesh coloured liner is more natural. These eyeliners are gorgeous, they glide on and have a lovely creamy consistency. This liner could be used in the water line, tit line or as a highlight on the brow bone. The liner lasted on my eyes for about 6 plus hrs. This liner retails for €2.49.

I also picked up a fabulous pastel purple nail polish. The packaging of these products is just gorgeous! I am a huge fan of the essence nail polish range, they have a flat wide brush so application is a doddle, they last on your nails for days and at less then €3 a bottle you just can't say no! This shade is called Lovely Lavender. It is a pastel purple shade with a gorgeous subtle glitter/shine. Retail Price €2.29.

I am thrilled with these products. I would like to try the blush and the shimmer, unfortunately there wasn't any left on the stand. Ill have to try another store.
