NYC Smooth Skin Mousse Foundation

NYC seems to be popping up all over Penney's Stores these days, it used to be one of those brands you could only really get in the one or two Superdrugs around Ireland, now that its more readily available to me I decided to give one of their products a try. My mam uses the Mousse Foundation and is forever recommending it to me so I decided to give it a try.

I was pleasantly surprised by this foundation. In the past I usually find a foundation I like and tend to stick to what I like, but recently I am trying to branch out a bit, especially when it come to drugstore foundations... everyone's loves a good bargain.

It has a very creamy consistency which blends into the skin beautifully, leaving you with a gorgeous even skin tone. The foundation is available in three shades, Natural Beige, Natural Rose and Sand Beige. I decided on the Natural Rose shade. This is a beautiful shade which is perfect for everyday wear (I usually aim a shade darker for evening wear). I would say the foundation has medium coverage depending on how much you apply, its very buildable and is amazing at covering blemishes and dark areas under the eye.

The only downside I would have to mention about this product is the longevity. It lasts on my skin for about 6 hours before I begin to see patches. I recently started using the Dermablend Setting Powder which has definitely helped to keep my makeup intact longer than usual, but I think its something to consider when purchasing this product.

Other than that at a amazing price of €4 (approx.) I am really sold on this product! I have used it everyday for three weeks and there is still plenty of product left. I sometimes use the Essence Soft Touch Mousse which is a similar product and I use it up in about two weeks, so I am thrilled I am getting so much use out of the NYC mousse.

Has anyone else tried this product? Or recommend any other NYC products for me to try?

Tenerife Time!

I have been away for the last week in gorgeous Tenerife. I thought I'd share some of pictures on my blog seen as I haven't really been trying any new beauty products for the last few days. I went away with my sister Grace, she lives in the UK so we met at Tenerife airport which was kind of unusual, setting out on a holiday trip all on my lonesome! The weather was absolutely amazing for our whole trip. We ate amazing food and lounged by the pool and drank cocktails... oh I want to be back there! At least I have Longitude festival in 2 days, you need something to look forward too! Anywaz here's a few snaps of what we got up to for the week!

Hope you are all enjoying your summer so far!

Eylure Launch New Look Lash Collection

*Eylure lashes have launched a rebrand of their gorgeous lash collection. Eyelure have been in the lash business for 65years! Some of the first people to wear the Elure lashes include Elizabeth Taylor and Joan Collins. Today Eylure's collection have multiple lashes in their collection which can be used for every occasion, from fresh full length day lashes to dazzling  glamour lashes.

I absolutely love the new packaging. I think it is much cleaner and classier than the previous boxes. The new boxes clearly state the type of lash the box contains which makes it easy to find your perfect lash look. On the back of each box there is a picture of how the lashes will look once applied, this is a great idea as you can see what the lashes will look like on you. The box also shows you a step by step tutorial on how to apply them. Eylure have also added new lash designs to their collection- Naturals, Lengthening and Volume.

I think my favourite would have to be the Lengthening lashes. I think they give you both volume and length but are also natural enough to wear for everyday/daytime wear.

Eylure’s new collection are now available at Boots, McCabes Pharmacy,  Sam McCauley Chemists, Shaws Departments Stores, Cara Pharmacy, Mulligans Pharmacy, Healthwise and independent pharmacies nationwide – prices from €6.99.

Do you have a favourite from the collection?
