Introducing New Garnier Ultimate Blends

I was thrilled to see this range finally hit the shelves this month.. and too see them half price at Dunnes Stores was an extra treat!
Ultimate Blends is the latest Shampoo and Conditioner range from Garnier. The products are blended with an assortment of naturally sourced ingredients. Ultimate Blends is available in six varieties, one to suit each individual type of hair. The products are said to leave you hair feeling squeaky clean and soft to the touch for up to 72hours!

I decided to pick up a bottle of The Marvellous Transformer Shampoo. This shampoo is best suited to dull, dry hair. As I alternate between shampoos so often I decided to go for the smaller 250ml bottle. This Shampoo includes ingredients such as Moroccan Argan Oil and time-honoured Japanese indulgence Camellia Oil.

Well I can happily say I was not disappointed, this new shampoo has definitely lived up to its promise. The product has a gorgeous silky consistency and lathers up very well with a small amount of product. As Garnier products always do.. the shampoo smells absolutely divine, its smells of rich moroccan oil and fruit. The products left my hair feeling light and super shiny. I tried this shampoo before I went away last week and 3 days after the first wash my hair was still shiny and clean, which is great for me! My hair would usually last me about 2 days before it begins to feel sticky and greasy.

I'm excited to try out another one of these, maybe the The Nourishing Repairer for dry, damaged hair. There is also a dry shampoo in this range, I cannot wait to give that a try.

Has anyone else tried these new products?

Sherbet Lemon Nails

Last weekend I rooted out my favourite pastel colours for spring, and decided to paint my nails a bright pastel yellow colour. This colour is from the 17 range at Boots. The shade is called Sherbet Lemon.

I used Essence basecoat, 2 layers of Sherbet Lemon (needed two coats to get it opaque) and finished it off with two layers of Seche Vitae Topcoat. I think it is a gorgeous colour for the spring months, and looks fabulous with a tan. What do you guys think?

Has anyone else picked up this colour, or recommend any nice pastel polishes for spring time?

I have tried my very best not to buy too much beauty products over the last week or so as I am off to London tomorrow to do some shopping!! Hopefully I will get my hands on some gorgeous new beauty products to review!! Eeeks!

Bloom me up!

I was so thrilled to finally see this range in stores. There wasn't a lot of stock left when I reached the stand but there was still a few nice bits. I decided to purchase a duo eyeliner and a nail polish!

The dual eyeliner has a gorgeous pastel pink shade and a light cream shade. I have been meaning to pick up a cream coloured liner for ages now. I have a white one I use to try brighten up tired eyes, but I heard a flesh coloured liner is more natural. These eyeliners are gorgeous, they glide on and have a lovely creamy consistency. This liner could be used in the water line, tit line or as a highlight on the brow bone. The liner lasted on my eyes for about 6 plus hrs. This liner retails for €2.49.

I also picked up a fabulous pastel purple nail polish. The packaging of these products is just gorgeous! I am a huge fan of the essence nail polish range, they have a flat wide brush so application is a doddle, they last on your nails for days and at less then €3 a bottle you just can't say no! This shade is called Lovely Lavender. It is a pastel purple shade with a gorgeous subtle glitter/shine. Retail Price €2.29.

I am thrilled with these products. I would like to try the blush and the shimmer, unfortunately there wasn't any left on the stand. Ill have to try another store.

Has anyone else picked up any Bloom me up range?

Cocoa Brown Gentle Bronze

Last week I was delighted to be invited along to the Cocoa Brown Spring Collection Cocktail Party at VCC. I met some fabulous new bloggers and got to mingle with Marissa Carter and hear all about her experience at the Oscars in LA! I had an amazing evening. I left the event with a bag full of new goodies to try out.

This week I decided to give the Gentle Bronze* a try. Gentle Bronze is one of three products included in the Cocoa Brown Spring Launch. I usually like a bronzed glow 7 days a week so I thought this would be perfect for weekdays when all you need is a subtle bronzed look. It is a moisturiser which also contains a hint of tan. If applied every day it creates a tanned glow and allows you to build up a colour from a light glow to a gentle bronze.

What Marissa says about Gentle Bronze- ‘Gentle Bronze is the perfect tan for those ladies who want a dualaction product that that will both moisturise their skin and give them a hint of colour. For women who don’t usually tan, Gentle Bronze is a brilliant introduction and will show them exactly what they were missing out on!'

I applied the product on Wednesday evening and by Thursday morning my skin had a natural tanned glow. The moisturiser has a hint of colour in it so it is easy to apply and you can immediately spot if you have missed patches. It feels so light and luxurious on your skin, and left my skin feeling soft and hydrated, it really is a gorgeous product! I was thrilled with the colour I had the next morning, it was slightly darker than I anticipated but I was very happy with the results. I applied the Moisturiser again last night so I have a deeper colour for the weekend! See before and after pictures below-

Cocoa Brown products are available nationwide at Boots, Penneys, Superdrug, Tescos and several pharmacies across the country.

P.S. Range at Penneys

I first heard about the new P.S. range of beauty products from Frillseeker. I could not wait to try out this new range. A few days later I noticed a few products were finally available in stores. The P.S. range includes a selection of beauty products, including nail polishes, eyeliners, blush and eye shadows.

I decided to pick up two nail polishes.. because who doesn't need more nail polish!  I purchased a bright pink shade and a pretty red shade. The Polish is absolutely gorgeous. It comes in beautiful packing, the boxes are black and gold with a pink polka dot design. The Brush is flat and wide which makes the application process fast and easy. I applied two layers of the polish and two layers of Seche Vitae Topcoat to create a gorgeous glossy finish. The polish lasted on my nails about five days before chips appeared. The Polish retails for €1.50.

The P.S. range is now widely available in Penney's store nationwide. Has anyone else tried out products from the P.S. Range? I hear the eye shadow Palette is a great dupe for the Naked Palette, it may have to be my next P.S. purchase!
